On Friday, April 22, 2016, I drove up to Lakes County Illinois to paint at Chain O'Lake State Park with 2 of my plain air painting friends. We chose to all paint this bridge from different view points. My first painting "Bridge" was 12"x12", oil pastels on a red mat board which took a few hours to paint. I finished before my friends and with ample sunlight left in the day, I decided to do another painting of the lake just beyond the bridge. My second painting "Calm Water was 9"x9", oil pastels on a red mat board which took about a hour and a half to paint. Both are framed and will be fore sale at the 57th Street Art Fair (Booth 538).
