Today I went out to Chain OLake State Park in Spring Grove Illinois to finish a painting I started last week. I set up my mobile studio out of the back of my car. As seen in the photos, I have attached a few additional umbrellas to my tripod and car itself. The general idea for the umbrellas is to block the sunlight from hitting the oil pastels. The oil pastels will melt in direct sunlight.
Last week I worked on the background of the painting and today I worked on finishing the painting. I explored using different colors to Capture what I saw before me. This turned out to be a nice painting and looks great in it's framed final presentation in the shadowbox. This painting will be for sale for $750 at the 57th St., Art fair on June 4th and 5th.
